Eh, Friday, next Wednesday, what's the difference, anyways?! Alright..

9,900 (1-2)
47,200 (3-3)
10,600 (1-2)
14,300 (2-1)
40,200 (3-2)

I was planning on doing 20 but am stopping at 5 for now, rest later. Wow, it seems every other game I was either in ring rust mode or in not ring rust mode...that's kinda weird actually.

7 more attempts for now

37,200 (3-2)
51,100 (3-3)
68,900 (4-2)
34,700 (3-1)
60,600 (3-4)
80,700 (4-3)
18,500 (2-2)

Looks like I'm way more consistent with my scores, considering only one is less than 30k, and I basically wasted 2 lives trying to get the Elevator Shortcut Jump down in that one. Can't wait to continue later.

Hey guys, been a long break, but I just wanted to I guess "bump" this thread with some info. Since my last post, I did a good bunch of attempts shortly after that I have recorded, but then my computer broke AGAIN, and instead of getting a new one, I have gotten a Surface Pro Tablet instead. While amazing, it is unable to play emulators such as MAME. However, next weekend I should be due for a new computer, so expect next weekend to be the return of this blog and my attempts at 100k and later a killscreen! See y'all then! More updates will come if necessary.

Bump for this topic, as I will be resuming playing this game soon! I finally have a working computer that can actually play Donkey Kong, so my quest for a killscreen will continue very shortly!

My first 10 attempts in a long time, here we go:

17,800 (2-2)
16,800 (2-2)
23,700 (2-3)
700 (1-1)
55,800 (4-1)
28,600 (3-1)
58,700 (4-1)
27,700 (3-1)
6,300 (1-2)
13,500 (2-1)

Average: 24,960 (4 runs above average)

Could definitely be better and not up to snuff with my previous scores, but through the course of this I developed a good strategy for the Spring and Rivet levels, and the Cement Factory one has always come easy to me. I've now been able to set aside time daily for 10 runs during the week, so this should be updated frequently.

Next 10 Attempts, here we go:

46,800 (3-3)
35,000 (3-2)
12,900 (2-1)
11,400 (2-1)
28,200 (3-1)
11,000 (2-1)
11,500 (2-1)
23,800 (2-3)
23,300 (2-3)
39,500 (3-2)

Average: 23,430 points (5 runs above average)

While my peak of 55,800 was not broken today, I still had a better overall average and go mostly above 20k. I hope to break 60k or even higher tomorrow.

If you keep on pressing you'll hit that 100k!

Alright, next 10 runs:

21,200 (2-3)
42,700 (3-3)
27,900 (3-1)
41,200 (3-3)
24,800 (2-3)
30,000 (3-1)
17,400 (2-2)
26,300 (2-3)
46,100 (3-3)
6,700 (1-2)

Average: 28,430 points (4 runs above average)

This is a significant increase in my overall average, but some of these runs IMO were just terrible. I had multiple 1-1 deaths on a lot of these runs and it honestly frustrated. I don't think this was a Donkey Kong day today I guess, despite what my scores might tell you lol.

I am glad you are posting your attempts.   It shows it's really not that easy to get far in this game.  Yeah, there are the super above average gamers, but I feel that you are more a true representative of the average gamer's progression.

Next 10, here we go:

28,400 (3-1)
34,400 (3-1)
10,900 (2-1)
45,900 (3-3)
17,600 (2-2)
44,200 (3-3)
47,200 (3-3)
58,200 (4-1)
68,300 (4-2)
20,900 (2-2)

Average: 37,600 points (5 runs above average)

I think I actually played really well today! Runs 6-9 were great, especially run 8 IMO even though it was only my second highest score. I was so happy from breaking 60k that I kinda didn't care that last run, but I feel like I can definitely get to Level 4 without too much difficulty, and Level 3 without pretty much any now.

And here's the next 10:

44,000 (3-3)
41,300 (3-2)
15,200 (2-1)
26,900 (3-1)
51,900 (3-4)
54,400 (3-4)
25,400 (2-3)
28,600 (3-1)
17,300 (2-2)
10,800 (2-1)

Average: 31,580 points (4 runs above average)

I'm very upset with these runs besides the two 50k+ ones, I feel like overall I played pretty bad.
